Last weekend, it was the Queen's 90th Birthday. She has happily reigned for over 63 years, and therefore is the longest reigning monarch to this day. To celebrate such a glorious event, Bollington had a street party to enable the community to participate in the occasion.
The event was organised by the Bridgend Centre and involved local stalls. These included adorable candles and soaps, personalised mugs and of course a Great British Barbecue! I went into the store, and The Mayor, Mr Alan Williams, gave a short Speech about all his memories of The Queen and how honoured he was to be opening the event. We then sang the national anthem and continued to browse the stalls outside.
Despite the typical English rain that accompanied us, I had a fantastic time and would encourage members of the community to visit the centre to see what they do.
Happy Birthday Your Majesty!
